SPURS AND LACES

Pull on your favorite boots and cowboy hat for this look. Through the experimentation with denim discards, this two piece set went through a long design journey before becoming a western-inspired lace up top and asymmetrical mini skirt. Old patch pockets and a back yoke are utilized to form a cropped halter top with a lace up back detail. The paneled mini skirt was created using a weaving technique and is left with raw seams for a unique finish that will soften with wear. In addition to utilizing second hand textiles, I focused on the ability to mix and match each piece in order to extend the use of this look and increasing the longevity and sustainability of the top and skirt set.
